Itinerary
-
Yehliu, Dharma drum, Mysterious coast
Start the tour by meeting your North Taiwan tour guide to visit the Yehliu Geopark, a unique natural landscape formed because of ocean water and wind erosion, giving the rocks a candle-like shape. At the Geopark, see the Queen’s Head, formed through 30 years of erosion, becoming more and more slender.
Choose one from either of the two options:
OPTION 1: Visit The Yehliu Ocean World, which is the first ocean world in Taiwan where you can get to see different marine animals and oceanic species.
See different shows such as dolphin show or sea lion show.
Try out the springboard diving and the ocean tunnel, which takes you on a trip to enjoy the amazing ocean world and to see how the special creatures live under the world.
Spectate a planned performance in an auditorium with a capacity of over 3,000 showing startling, high-jumping water presentations held at irregular intervals, cute and smart dolphins, mischievous sea lions and other spectacular performances.
Visit the Sea Animal Exhibition Hall and see the original forms of many sea ecological environments.
OPTION 2: Visit the Ju Ming Museum, which is named in memory of world-renowned Taiwanese artist Ju Ming.
Tarry at the Dharma Drum Mountain, despite its relatively short history, has already become one of Taiwan’s four largest Buddhist centres.
Visit the Mysterious Coast, located in the northeast of Taiwan, situated on the coastline of Jinshan District, New Taipei City. The area was once restricted for military purposes. It was opened to the public just a few years ago and became a popular destination by locals due to filming a scene of the 2016 movie “Silence” directed by Martin Scorsese.
