Tour through Cochin
Be received by your private Cochin tour guide, who will take you to the old city.
Start your heritage tour with a visit to the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), known as such despite having been built by the Portuguese in 1555. The main glory of the Dutch Palace is the art form of the Hindu Temple.
Head to the Dutch Cemetery, which was built in 1724 and is the oldest cemetery in India.
Halt at the Indo-Portuguese Museum near the Bishop House.
Continue to the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Friday noon and Saturday), another historical attraction of the Cochin heritage tour. A number of Copper plates described in the Hebrew script are maintained here.
Proceed to the next capture point - St. Francis Church built by the Portuguese in 1510. Vasco da Gama was buried here, and after 14 years, his remains were taken to Portugal.
Visit the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica located nearby, and the Portuguese built it in the year 1505.
Round your trip to the Chinese Fishing nets area which is another famous spot in Fort Cochin.
Return homewards.
