Mosques and Palaces Tour In Cairo
- Meet your Cairo tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the tour. Visit Bayet-al-Kritliyya, considered to be one of the remarkable examples of Muslim domestic architecture in Cairo. It dates back to the Mamluk period, and it was built by Hagg Mohamed Salem El Gazzar. See the museum, consisting of two houses built using the outer wall of mosque Ibn Tulun as support; the two houses were joined by a bridge at the 3rd-floor level and collectively known as Bayt al Kritliyya.
Proceed to the Manial Palace. It was built by Prince Mohammed Ali Tawfik, the uncle of King Farouk. It was designed in a style including Ottoman, Persian, and it housed also many artefacts of arts, furniture, clothing, silver objects and ceramic tiles as well.
Move towards the Al Manasterly Palace, located at the end of Al Manial island. The main characteristic of the place is the Nilometer, which was used to measure the Nile floods in the past.
