Qabala - Shamakhi
- Visit Diri Baba Mausoleum at Maraza village. It is a unique monument, a two-storeyed mausoleum-mosque of the 15th century called “Diri-Baba”. This sacred place is located opposite to an ancient cemetery on the way from Baku to Shamakhi. For a long time, residents believed in a legend that a sacred person called Diri Baba was buried here and remained imperishable.
- Stop in Juma Mosque in Shamakhi, the first mosque in Azerbaijan and all Caucasus. Ornamental patterns decorate the entire facade of the mosque. The mosque has a rectangular plan. The size of the building is 46 meters in length and 28 meters in width. There is a large prayer hall which is divided into three separated sections. Moreover, each part of the mosque has its own prayer place and entrance.
- Travel to your next stop of Nohur Gol in Gabala and spot eye-catching Lake Nohur with the magnificent view of the Caucasus Mountains.
