In and around Berchtesgaden
Get picked up at your hotel or any other agreed pickup point in Salzburg.
Drive to the south of Salzburg to the area of Hallein, where you have the possibility to see the salt mines (extra entrance fee) and learn how already the Celtics have mined salt and learn about the importance of salt in this area.
Continue to drive over the border to the Obersalzberg, where Hitler used to have his summer residence to see the location. In the summer months (between May and October), you have the possibility to visit Hitler's eagle's nest (extra entrance) or the documentation center.
Drive to see great views over the mountains and down to the village of Berchtesgaden (placed in the mountains with great views, lots of history, etc.) and walk through the town with your Berchtesgaden tour guide.
Proceed either to the Königssee (a beautiful lake located in the heart of the mountains) or over the village of Ramsau with its beautiful church and the Hintersee, an untouched jewel in the mountains with crystal clear water directly from the national park of Berchtesgaden, as the last destination of the tour.
