Hoa Binh Hilltribes Tour
Meet and greet your Vietnamese tour guide at your hotel at 8 am and drive for a journey west to Hoa Binh, a distance of approximately 80km which is a gateway to the famous North West of Vietnam. You will be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Witness the spectacular scenery of Hoang Lien Son limestone mountain range which is running from the northmost of Vietnam, on the way.
Travel a short distance to Song Da Reservoir to view the enormous hydroelectric dam, which plays an important role in the country’s power system.
Head to one of the Muong villages nearby. The Muong people, one of 54 ethnic minorities or “hill tribes” that inhabit Vietnam, retain a traditional way of life. You will walk around their village and amongst their rice fields.
Enjoy the traditional hospitality of the locals as they invite you into their “houses on stilts” to enjoy tea and rice wine. Learn about their methods of cultivation and way of life.
Enjoy a scrumptious lunch in a village’s house or at a local restaurant.
Head back to Hanoi, arriving mid-afternoon.
