Itinerary

1. Day 1: Trek to Chisapani

   • Meet your tour guide at a pre-decided location in Kathmandu. 

   • Set out to Sundarijal after breakfast on a 40-50 minutes early morning drive.

   • Begin hiking in Sundarijal. Sundarijal, which translates to 'a beautiful waterfall' in Nepali, is the main source of drinking water for residents of Kathmandu Valley.

   • Reach the army checkpoint after 30 min of hiking, where you will show your permits and pay the national park fees. 

   • Follow the trekking trail as it continues to the water dam.

   • Have your lunch at a guest house at the end of the village as you proceed to enter the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park via the Mulkharka village in the buffer zone.

   • Hike up via the beautiful Tamang village and behold stunning views of Kathmandu Valley. 

   • Set out to trek again and keep an eye out for birds and animals. 

   • Continue to the top at 2430 meters via a small pass and then proceed down to Chisapani village. 

   Stay in Chisapani at a tourist lodge.

2. Day 2: Chisapani to Nagarkot

   • Enjoy morning sunrise views from Chisapani as you see two Himalayan valleys, the Helambu and the Nuwakot. Behold the panoramic views of the Himalayas, from Everest in the east to Annapurna in the west, and about 15 higher mountains in between.

   • After a sumptuous breakfast, trek to Nagarkot via a national park. The panoramic views of the Himalayas make this a very joyful hike.

   • Continue on a 5-hour walk, and catch beautiful sunset views as you reach Nagarkot.  

3. Day 3: Changu Narayan Temple and Departure

   • Marvel at a spectacular sunrise in Nagarkot. 

   • After breakfast, hike down to Changu Narayan temple, one of the oldest temples in entire Nepal. According to ancient lore, the Changu Narayan village was the first settlement in Kathmandu Valley. 

   • Have your lunch and proceed for the drive back to Kathmandu.

   • Enjoy a complimentary dinner in Kathmandu.
