Meteora and Thermopylae Excursion
- Meet and greet your Meteora tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the tour. Transfer to Meteora in an air-conditioned Mercedes.
Visit the breathtaking monasteries, built on top of 1000 foot rocks, such as the Holy Monastery of Varlaam. This monastery from the mid 14th century features a chapel with frescos & a museum. Head to Rousanou, which features colourful frescos and is built on an immense rock formation. The Holy Trinity is one of the most photographed monuments of the area.
Take a break for a coffee, at Kalabaka, with your guide.
Drive to Thermopylae, where you will visit Thermopylae's Innovative Centre of Historical Information which consists of 3 halls. Witness the statue of Leonidas, erected in 1955.
