Itinerary

1. Day 1: Drive to The Thracian Valley

   • Get picked up by your Bulgarian tour guide from the airport or the hotel and drive to the first wine cellar, which will take around 1 hour 20 minutes.

   • Taste 5 different wines, cheese, and local snacks as you tour the vineyards. Inspired by the ancient Thracian tribe, Bessi, the new Bessians produce the finest quality wine on a perfect terroir located close to a river and a mountain.

   • Enjoy a 3-course lunch after the wine tasting.

   • Head to another wine cellar that uses modern technology combined with perfect growing factors in producing a wide range of still & sparkling wines.

   • Taste 5 different kinds of wines along with snacks.

   •  Then, head to Plovdiv, the European capital of culture for 2019 and check in to a hotel.

   • Walk around the old town and explore the ancient ruins.

   • Have dinner at the iconic "Kapana" area, including the main course, salad, and a bottle of wine.

   Spend the night at the hotel.

2. Day 2: Taste Wine at Plovdiv

   • After breakfast and check out and head north of Plovdiv, towards the southern skirts of Sredna Gora mountain. 

   • After an hour, stop at the quiet and beautiful place where ancient Thracian rulers lived and enjoyed their wine.

   • Walk in the cellar and hear stories from your Plovdiv tour guide as you taste 3 specially selected wines.

   • Have lunch in the complex, in a restaurant that will include, main course, salad, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverages.

   • Then, visit another wine cellar nestled in the heart of the Rose Valley, on the top of a hill. The winery produces exceptional white wine as well as high-end coupage red and rose.

   • Here, taste 5 different wines, Bulgarian cheese mixed with dry fruits.

   • Transfer to Sofia, and on the way, enjoy the panoramic road, Podbalkin and stop for some refreshments.

   • Upon arrival in Sofia, board your flight from Sofia airport.
