Madurai Highlights Tour
This guided tour of Madurai will include visits to the following places:
Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple, a historic Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River.
Thirumalai Nayak Palace, a 17th-century palace erected in 1636 AD by King Tirumala Nayaka, a king of Madurai's Nayaka dynasty who ruled Madurai from 1623–59. This Palace is a classic fusion of Italian and Rajput styles.
Mariamman Water Tank, which is 1000 feet long and 950 feet wide. There is a mandapam cum Lord Vigneshwara temple in the center of the tank.
Gandhi Memorial Museum, established in 1959, is a memorial museum for Mahatma Gandhi.
The famous Flower Market, bustling with people at all times.
