Miri City Tour
- Meet your Miri tour guide at your hotel lobby and depart for the tour. The tour features Malaysia's First Oil Well, famously known as The Grand Old Lady, located at Canada Hill. It was here that oil was first found by Sarawak Shell in 1910.
- Stop at the largest and most elegant Taoist Temple in South East Asia. The door arch of the temple is impressive, with a pair of carving dragons brought from China. The soothing sounds of wind chimes enhance the tranquillity and serenity of the temple.
- Continue to Miri City Fan, an attractively landscaped park with Chinese- and Malay-style gardens & ponds and a hotspot for photo enthusiasts.
- Head to Miri Heritage Centre for a fascinating showcase of ethnic arts & crafts of northern Sarawak. Stalls are run by individual producers, and craftspeople can be seen at work. Items on sale include the Sarawak indigenous Penan's people mats and basketry, Orang Ulu beadwork and woodcarvings, and various textiles from around the state. Cultural performances are occasionally held at weekends.
- Stop at Tamu Muhibbah, the local farmers market, to find various tropical fruits & vegetables, handicrafts and produce from the upriver area. Lastly, if there's more time you can go shopping in modern and trendy shopping malls.
