- Visit the Kruja Castle: Explore Skanderbeg’s Museum, which is located in the Castle of Kruja. It was the epicentre of the legendary Albanian resistance to the Ottomans, led by national hero Skanderbeg in the 15th century. See a copy of the helmet and the sword of Scanderbeg in the main hall and the flags and stems of prominent families of that time who supported the national hero.
- Head to the National Ethnographic Museum is located in an old building of the Toptani family, in 1764 in the medieval castle courtyard, in front of the National Museum of Scanderbeg. The museum walls have 250 years of original morals, ceilings carved in wood, very rare furnishings, old-style rugs, and traditional costumes. Inside the house is a steamy Turkish bath, one of the only ones left in Albania. The museum also has 1,200 original objects living proof of old Albanians’ lifestyle and traditions, mostly from the XVIII-XIX centuries.
- Stroll through the Old Bazaar: Look for souvenirs, including the intricate local handicrafts.
- Explore the Sari Salltik (small mosque): Head to a cave located on the edge of a mountain 1176 m high. It has a depth of 20 m and a height of 3-4 m.
