- Admire the Kapsas Cave, Tripolis Pirgou, Kapsas, a wonderful cave system with lovely stalactites and stalagmites. (Duration: 1 hour)
- Visit Lagkadia in Arkadia Region, Peloponnese. This amphitheatrically built village is the last rest stop for the evening. It has traditional Arcadian architecture. -
Day 3: Lagkadia to Kalamata via Ancient Messeni
- Visit Ancient Messini, Messini and examine the remains of this wonderful ancient city complete with a grand old stadium, an Ancient Agora, an ancient theatre with a capacity of up to ten thousand spectators, and a fountain house. It is so well-maintained that you can easily envision the city in all of its glory. Visit the museum located directly next to the archaeological site, home to the thousands of findings uncovered by archaeologists. (Duration: 2 hours)
- Proceed to Methoni Castle, Methoni, Pylos and explore the castle built by the Venetians in the early 13th century on a rocky promontory; the castle is among the largest ones in the Mediterranean. Get astonished at the bridge stone of 14 arches that connects the castle to the shore instead of the timber one that used to stand in its place before the Venetians got there. (Duration: 1 hour)
- Examine the celebrated symbol of Venice, the lion of St Marc which dominates the castle's gate where immured reliefs, emblems, blazons, inscriptions, the vast gates –especially the main gate, above the moat – and the relics of two Ottoman bathhouses have survived.
