1. Athenian Temples Motorcycle Tour

   • Get acquainted with your BMW rental motorbike. Do a short briefing on the tour, the itinerary, and then take off your Athenian Temples Tour with your Athens tour guide.
   • Cruise the scenic Athenian Riviera towards your first stop of the day, the impressive Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounio, the southernmost point of Attica. A magnificent seaside route full of amazing scenery and twisty roads.
   • Have the opportunity to spend some time on a nearby beach, where you can enjoy a nice walk, coffee or even a dive in the Aegean Sea. As with many other monuments and sanctuaries around Greece, historical facts about the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion are intertwined with bits of legend. 
   • Continue your motorcycle tour by visiting the Marathon Tomb. At the plain of Marathon, near the historical battle between the Athenians and the Persians, is the Tomb where the cremated remains of the 192 soldiers who lost their lives during the Battle of Marathon. Apart from the ashes, they also found traces from the funerary dinner their fellow soldiers organized in their honour. The Tomb of Marathon is the starting point for the annual Classical Marathon race.
   • After a short lunch, get on your motorcycles for the final part of the moto tour. Visit the historic Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games in 1896 took place and finally stop at the world-famous Acropolis. The Acropolis of Athens, an ancient citadel, is located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon, the Propylaia, the Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike.
   • There will be time for a provisional visit before heading back to the headquarters—a wonderful motorcycle tour of Athens full of scenic routes, archaeological sites and monuments of great importance.
