Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

   • After breakfast, the driver/guide will pack your picnic lunch boxes in a 4×4 safari jeep in the morning. You will then have less than 30 minutes of driving before you begin your exploration of this wonderful country, heading to your destination for the day: Lake Manyara. Although it is one of Tanzania’s smaller wildlife enclaves, Lake Manyara National Park is a spectacular reserve with incredible land diversity. This area is a paradise for bird lovers, as the lake teems with birds, including hundreds of pink flamingos and yellow-billed storks, among others. Lake Manyara is also famous for its unique variety of tree-climbing lions, which cannot be found elsewhere in Tanzania, as well as its large concentration of baboons, blue monkeys, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes.
   • After a full day of game driving, you will be transferred to Kitela Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodations.

2. Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

   • In the morning, your driver/guide will transfer you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After registration, you will descend into the crater for enchanting game viewing. Known as “the eighth wonder of the world,” the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife arenas. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, approximately 25,000 large mammals roam the plains, lakes, and forests of this remarkable land. During your game drive inside the crater, you will likely see black rhinos, leopards, majestic black-maned lions, and many flamingos. 
   • After exploring the crater, you will be transferred to Arusha, where you can choose to either overnight in Arusha or be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
