Itinerary

1. Day 1- Addis Ababa

   • Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and meet your guide.

   • Get transferred to the hotel for check-in.

   Overnight at the hotel.

2. Day 2- Drive to Awash National Park

   • After driving for about 46 km, you will make a short stop at Lake Hora.

   • Proceed with a drive to Awash National Park,

   • En-route, stop at the small town of Metehara and see different aquatic birds at Lake Beseka.

   Overnight lodge stay.

3. Day 3- Game Drive in Awash National Park

   • It is the richest habitat here with more than 245 species of birds; of which the Kori bustard and Arabian Bustard are the most interesting ones. There are also more than 50 species of birds of prey including vultures, Bat Hawk, Snake Eagle, Imperial Eagle, Ruppell’s griffons, Kestrel and Carmine Bee-eater.

   Overnight lodge stay.

4. Day 4- Drive to Bellen

   • Observe different species of birds here that are quite common - Starling, Sandgrouse and Weaver.

   Overnight stay at hotel.

5. Day 5- Drive to Ankober

   • Spot lots of birds including the beautiful endemic birds of Abyssinian Catbird and Ankober Serin.

   Overnight lodge stay.

6. Day 6- Drive back to Addis Ababa

   • Arrive at Addis Ababa. Check in at hotel after freshening up.

   • Have a traditional farewell dinner with Ethiopian cultural music and dancing presentations.

   Overnight hotel or departure.
