Colombo City Tour
- Meet the tour guide at an agreed-upon location in Colombo and begin your journey with an insightful, guided heritage walk around the Colombo Fort district with your Sri Lankan tour guide.
- Head east and cross a canal to reach the outer area of the Fort called Pettah. Pettah is the nation's busiest commercial district selling goods of every description, from colourful textiles, gold and silver to daily commodities such as spices, fruits and vegetables.
- Go back towards the Fort district and visit the Galle Face Promenade. Marvel at the ocean from the promenade, feast on street food, visit a heritage hotel nearby and get an insight on the original promenade dating back to the 1800s.
- Move south of the Fort to a place called Slave Island. Slave Island encompasses history, diverse culture, harmonious neighbourhoods and delicious food.
- Explore the Town Hall district to see more historically and culturally significant sites like the Town Hall of Colombo, Dewathagoda Mosque, Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre, and Viharamahadevi Park.
- Visit the Cinnamon Gardens district to unravel monuments like the Independence Square & Memorial Hall and the historic Colombo Race Grounds to find out more about the city's rich history and culture.
- End your excursion with a spectacular sunset view at Mount Lavinia beach.
