Salzburg City Tour
Discover the narrow little streets of Salzburg, the most famous shopping street Getreidegasse, which features buildings from the Middle Ages and other periods, walk to Mozart’s Birthplace, discover hidden coffee houses or wrought iron signs on the way to the market square and learn about the original Mozartkugel and special chocolate of Salzburg.
Admire the University church, the biggest baroque church in town; learn where the stars of music, theatre and play perform during the Salzburg Festivals.
See the oldest church called St. Peters Church and St. Peters cemetery before coming to the Prince Archbishops district with the Salzburg Dom, the Residence and the big Residence square. From here, we can see the Fortress Hohensalzburg, built about 900 years ago, an unmistakable landmark peeking out high above the baroque towers of the city.
Across the river Salzach, see where the famous doctor Paracelsus lived and Christian Doppler was born, who is known for the Doppler Effect.
Go to Mozart’s Residence close by and the baroque Mirabell Place, known for the movie Sound of Music.
