Itinerary

1. Day 1: Tehran - Ahvaz - Shushtar

   • Drive to Mehrabad Airport to board a flight to Ahvaz. (Flight duration is about 50 minutes and breakfast will be provided on the flight.)
   • Proceed to Shushtar. (Approx 2 hours.)
   • Visit the Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
   • Explore Mizan Dam
   • Witness the historical house of Ghanad-ha and the traditional museum. Enjoy lunch at Mostofi restaurant.
   • Ride a boar on the Karun River to visit an island. Enjoy dinner in a restaurant beside the river.

2. Day 2: Shush - Dezful

   • Proceed to Chogha Zanbil, an ancient Elamite complex and one of the few existent ziggurats outside of Mesopotamia.
   • Visit Shush Castle which was constructed by a French archaeologist.
   • Enjoy lunch in a traditional lunch and rest afterwards.
   • Continue on with visiting museums.
   • Drive to Dezful. 
   • Explore the area and have dinner at a local restaurant.

3. Day 3: Dezful

   • Visit Karnasian, an ancient bath, and other historical places in the city. 
   • Explore the Dezful Bazaar.
   • Drive to Chalkandi Canyon where the Dez River passes a rocky valley.
   • Enjoy kebabs as lunch beside the River and recreation activities like boating, water sliding, swimming, etc.

4. Day 4: Ahvaz - Tehran

   • Drive to Ahvaz Airport after breakfast to board a flight to Tehran.
   • Be dropped off in Tehran.
