The itinerary

Day 01

Yazd Heritage and Spiritual Landmarks

Meet your tour guide and driver in Yazd city and commence the sightseeing tour.
Visit the Tower of Silence (Dakhma), a circular, raised structure built by Zoroastrians for excarnation - that is, the exposure of human dead bodies to the elements for decay to prevent contamination of the soil with the corpses.
Head to Yazd Atash Behram (Fire Temple), a columned Zoroastrian temple built in 1934 with a courtyard and a constant altar fire.
Tour the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, a mosque located on a square of the same name. After the visit, take a stroll around the square.
Explore the Water Museum, which showcases the region's ancient aqueduct construction and features tools and technology exhibits.
Walk through the old bazaar and visit Khan-e Lari House, a historical building.
See Alexander's Prison, a storied 15th-century domed building and former school that now hosts a museum and handicraft sellers.
At the end of the tour, seek blessings at the Shrine of Davazdah Imam (Dome of 12 Imams) and the Jameh Mosque.

Day 02

Ancient Villages and Desert Heritage of Meybod

Set off to explore the abandoned mud-brick village of Kharanaq and Chak Chak village, where you can see the relics of ancient Persia.
Visit Narin Castle, which constituted the government stronghold in some of the older towns of central Iran. Some of these castles incorporate mud bricks from the Medes period and the Achaemenid and Sassanid dynasties.
See Shah Abbasi Caravanserai, a historical caravanserai related to the Safavid dynasty.
At the end of the tour, visit the Icehouse and Pigeon House of Meybod.

Day 03

Mehriz Gardens, Fortresses, and Caravanserai

Today, explore the places of Mehriz. Commence with Pahlavanpour Garden, which dates back to the late Qajar era and was UNESCO registered in 2011.
Continue with Sar Yazd Castle, a Sassanid fortification in the village of Sar Yazd.
Conclude at Zein-o-Din Caravanserai, which dates to the 16th century and is situated on the ancient Silk Road. It is one of 999 such inns built during the reign of Shah Abbas I to provide facilities to travellers.
