Malacca Historical Day Tour
- 0900 hrs: Depart for Historic City Malacca.
1100 hrs: Visits and photo stops at St. Peter's Church 1710 - the oldest Catholic Church - and the architecture of Oriental and Iberian design; the Statue of the Dead Lord is displayed in the Church.
Explore the St. Paul's Hills 1521 - Fr. Francis Xavier first preached in 1545. He spread Christianity from Malacca to the Moluccan Islands, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, and China. He died in San Chian and was temporarily buried in this Church, later transferred to Goa, India where his body still lays.
Tour the Stadthuys 1650 - Malacca's historic Museum situated at the Dutch Square used to be the house of the Dutch Governor - Holland's best woodwork.
1200 hrs: A unique Lunch - Baba Nyonya - a mix of Chinese and Malay style.
Head over to Christ Church 1753 - the oldest Protestant Church of Dutch architecture. Several tombstones of Portuguese Nationals are in this church. When the British took over it was converted to an Anglican Church.
Proceed to Cheng Hoon Teng Temple 1704 - oldest Chinese temple with Chinese mythological figurines. The temple professes 3 doctrines - Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism.
Stroll through Jonkers' Street - street of Antiquities of Malacca's rich past. Porcelain of Chinese origin, Indian Brassware, Dutch Cupboards, Kerosene Lamps, Brass Beds, Old Coins and much more.
Pay a visit to the A'Famosa 1512 - built by the Portuguese, damaged and repaired by the Dutch and again destroyed by the British. The Gateway still stands due to the timely intervention of Sir Stamford Raffles in 1810.
1600 hrs: Return transfer to Kuala Lumpur, arriving at approximate 1800 hrs.
