Arusha - Marangu Gate - Mandara Huts - Maundi crater
Pick-up from the hotel in Arusha and transfer to the Marangu Gate of the National Park.
Climb through the lush rainforest ecosystem.
Hike to the Mandara Huts at an altitude of 2,700 m.
Stop for lunch.
Take a short walk to view the Maundi crater from where you can see the Mawenzi peak and Kibo peak (the summit).
Witness the variety of fauna and flora found in the national park, including the Black and White colobus monkey and the Kilimanjaro passionflower, unique to the ecosystem of Kilimanjaro.
Return to the gate at Marangu.
Transfer back to your hotel in Arusha.
