Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

   • Pick-up from the airport and get transferred to Ibis styles/Similar on Bed and breakfast basis.

2. Day 2: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park

   • Drive north and into the forests of the Aberdare Mountain range, arriving at Aberdare country club for lunch.

   • Get transferred to the ark lodge. This is a tree lodge set in a forest glade with a waterhole that attracts all sorts of wildlife during the day and night. The waterhole is floodlit, and there is an underground viewing platform.

   Stay overnight at the Ark lodge on a full board basis.

3. Day 3: Lake Nakuru

   • Head towards Nyahururu, followed by travel in a southerly direction to the spectacular Lake Nakuru.

   • View game en route to the lodge. 

   • Have lunch and a siesta.

   • Go on an afternoon game drive and return to the lodge as the sun sets. The national park, known for its birdlife, offers a possibility to view flamingoes. It is also home to Black and White rhinos as well as the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.

   Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sarova woodlands on a full board basis.

4. Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

   • Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Narok town via Mai-Mahiu with a brief rest stop.

   • Proceed on to Mara arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge. 

   • Enjoy lunch and depart for an afternoon game drive.

   • Return to the lodge as the sun sets.

   Overnight at AA Lodge on a full board basis.

5. Day 5: Masai Mara

   • Go on both the morning and afternoon game drives at 0630 hours and 1600 hours, respectively.

   • Explore the open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara, which is the home of numerous wildlife species, including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to September, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plains and seek out new grazing areas.

   All meals and overnight at AA Mara Lodge.

6. Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi

   • Depart from Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. 

   • Cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. 

   • Arrive into Kenya’s bustling capital in the early afternoon. 

   • Drop off at the drop off point in the city centre for ongoing travel arrangements.
