Visit the Swayambhunath Stupa & Kathmandu Durbar Square
Start your trip by visiting the Swayambhunath temple, also known as the “Monkey Temple. This is a good place to see panoramic views of Kathmandu city. if the weather is good then most of Kathmandu is seen. The stupa is situated on a hillock. The site itself has stood as a hallmark of faith and harmony for centuries. The glory of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started from here.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which contains a palace of King, and Hindu monuments, as well. There are many temples such as the Taleju temple and the Kasthamandap temple. In Sanskrit language, Kastha means “wood” and mandap means “covered shelter”. The temple is made from a single tree without using any iron nails.
