Full Day Deniyaya Bird Watching & Village Visit
2.00 AM: Meet your Deniyaya tour guide at an agreed-upon location and depart Colombo to reach Deniyaya town.
6.00 AM: Go to the buffer zone upon arrival and board a tuk-tuk to travel through the picturesque landscape of rice fields, palm trees, and bamboo forests. Cars cannot go beyond the buffer zone.
Spot local birds like the Grey Hornbill, Sri Lankan Hanging Parrot, Black-headed Ibis and the Wood Pigeon during the tuk-tuk ride.
Walk along a trail under a 45-meter-high canopy to explore the rainforest and identify certain medicinal plants along with clicking pictures of a variety of lizards, spiders, endemic black monkeys, giant squirrels, black centipedes etc.
Stop for lunch at a natural stone terrace before returning to the buffer zone followed by exploring the villages near the buffer zone to observe the rustic lifestyle of indigenous people.
3:00 PM: Travel back to Colombo at the end of the Bird Watching Tour.
