Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrive in Colombo

   • On arrival at the International Airport in Colombo, our staff will meet and greet you. 

   • Proceed to Negombo for a city tour, visiting:

     • Dutch Fortress

     • Fish Market

     • Buddhist Temple

     • Catholic Church

     • Hindu Temple

     • Stroll in the market and bazaar area. 

   Optional: Boat safari on the Dutch canal

   Accommodation in Golden Star Beach Hotel 

2. Day 2: Pinnawala - Sigiriya

   • Visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala

   • Leave for Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site.

   Optional: Ride on an elephant or a Village tour.

   Accommodation at Fresco Water Villa in Sigiriya.

3. Day 3: Polonnaruwa

   • Leave for Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, also declared a UNESCO world heritage site.

   • Visit Dambulla rock cave temple, a UNESCO world heritage site and the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. 

   • Proceed towards Kandy - on the way, visit a Spice Garden at Matale and learn about spices and their use in Sri Lankan cuisines. 

   Overnight stay at the Swiss Hotel in Kandy. 

4. Day 4: Pay Obeisance to Tooth Relic Temple

   • Visit the temple of the Tooth Relic.

   • Experience an Arts and crafts workshop.

   • Oriental marketplace and bazaar, travelling by “Tuk Tuk”.

   • Proceed to the Royal Botanical Garden.

   • Visit Gem Lapidary.

   • Enjoy a cultural show.

   Overnight stay at the Swiss Hotel.

5. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya

   • Drive through scenic mountains to Nuwara Eliya - famously known as “Little England”.

   • Visit tea factory & tea plantation - taste Ceylon tea. 

   Overnight at Golf Club in Nuwara Elya.

6. Day 6: Bentota

   • Post breakfast, leave for Bentota

   • Visit Kithulgala for white water rafting - AIDA Bentota.

7. Day 7: Departure

   Spend your day at the beach and try water sports (optional).

   • Depart to your country or begin another tour.
