A Day in Spinalonga
Depart in a minivan from the Heraklion area or pick up from hotels in Kokkini Hani, Gouves, Anissaras, Hersonissos, Stalis, or Malia.
Travel to Elounda, from where you will take a boat to Spinalonga. Enjoy the azure blue of the Mediterranean as you cruise to your destination.
Visit the Fortress of Spinalonga, a 16th-century, UNESCO-protected bastion-type fortification built by the Venetians to protect the island against siege.
Return to Elounda.
- Spend some time at leisure to indulge in a scrumptious lunch or go swimming.
Drive to Agios Nikolaos City, where you will stop for a coffee break.
Return to the hotel.
