Hike to a beautiful waterfall in Sarajevo
Begin your hiking adventure with a short transfer from Sarajevo to the village of Nahorevo, named after a German shepherd who tended his flock in this valley hundreds of years ago.
From the foothills below Seven Sources, your group will begin a hike along a mountain road to the top of the waterfall. Skakavac, at a height of 98 meters, is the largest continually flowing waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Enjoy the scenic landscape and be on the lookout for native wildlife. This hike through pine and beech forests is pleasant, even during the hot summer months.
Take in the views of Sarajevo below, and enjoy a break with tea or coffee before heading back down to the base of the waterfall.
Continue your walk through the forest to the village and down to the hunting lodge for a cold drink and some locally produced fresh, young cheese.
Travel back to your hotel in Sarajevo after the tour.
