Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Arrival & Sightseeing in Yangon

   • Meet and greet the English-speaking tour guide at Yangon International airport and get transferred to the hotel.

   • Begin the journey with a tour through the colonial-style city center of Yangon.

   • Visit the Sule Paya stupa which was built over 2,000 years ago. 

   • See the beautiful Maha Bandula Park with the Independence Monument.

   • Drive to see the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda which houses a 70 m long Reclining Buddha image.

   • Continue to the green Kandawgyi Park and its highlighted Karaweik barge, a replica of the royal barge.

   • Visit the age-old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in tons of pure gold and heavy diamonds.

   • See the spectacular light and shadow show at sunset, offered by Shwedagon to visitors.

   Overnight stay in Yangon, with included dinner at a local restaurant.

2. Day 2 - Visit to Kyaikhtiyo & Bago

   • Get up for a 6 hours’ drive to Kyaikhtiyo after breakfast.

   • Stop at Bago to visit the Mon-style Shwemawdaw Pagoda and admire the outstanding religious monument.

   • Continue to see the 55m long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha.

   • Continue to Kyaikhtiyo which is also well known as Golden Rock.

   • Arrive at Kyaikhtiyo and head towards Yathae Hill via truck.

   • Hike for an hour to reach the summit where the Golden Rock awaits. People who are unable to, or prefer not to walk may use porters and palanquins to get to the top.

   Overnight stay in Kyaikhtiyo, with included lunch at a local restaurant and dinner at the hotel.

3. Day 3 - Tour to Hpa An

   • Enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the hilltop and have breakfast at the hotel.

   • Drive to Hpa An to visit Bayin Nyi Cave located in beautiful surroundings with a lake and pagoda.

   • Visit the Kawgun Cave which is a natural limestone cave and has rare Buddha images as old as the 15th century AD.

   • Drive to the hotel and check in.

   • Visit the Saddan Cave in the afternoon and see Buddha's face carved on a rock, a reclining Buddha statue, a pagoda, and many more Buddhist items.

   • Return to the entrance of the cave by boat.

   • Visit Shwe Yin Hmyaw Paya located in the northwest end of town to enjoy nice sunset views from the pagoda.

   Overnight stay in Hpa An, with included lunch at a local restaurant and dinner at the hotel.

4. Day 4 - Mawlamyine Tour

   • Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

   • Visit Hpa An city center in the morning and stroll around the market.

   • Drive to Mawlamyine and visit Kyauk Kalap on the way, to see the artificial lake filled with infinite small and big fish.

   • Drive to Mawlamyine which is one of the famous towns in Mon State.

   • Transfer to the hotel for check-in after arriving at Mawlamyine.

   • Visit the Kyaik Tan Lan Pagoda during the evening, located on the hill, and enjoy sunset views from the pagoda.

   Overnight stay in Mawlamyine, with included lunch at a local restaurant and dinner at the hotel.

5. Day 5 - Thanbyuzayat Tour

   • Have a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel.

   • Drive to Thanbyuzayat which is located 30 km south of Mawlamyine.

   • Visit the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, containing 3,771 graves of Allied prisoners of war.

   • Drive to Kyaikkami Yele Pagoda to discover the shrine chamber beneath it that reportedly contains a Buddha image.

   • Visit the Setse Beach for leisure on the unique brown sand.

   • Drive back to Mawlamyine along with viewing scenic surrounding.

   Overnight stay in Mawlamyine, with included lunch and dinner at a local restaurant.

6. Day 6 - Arrive in Yangon

   • Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

   • Stroll through the city in the morning, then drive back to Yangon.

   • Arrive in Yangon and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

7. Day 7 - Depart to Yangon Airport

   • Have breakfast at the hotel.

   • Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure.
