Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Moshi
Leave Nairobi at 08.00 am in the morning by Shuttle bus and transfer to Moshi where you will spend the first night at Leopard Hotel.
Prepare your climbing equipment.
Overnight.

Day 2: Moshi to Machame Camp (3000m)
After breakfast, drive through the agricultural area on the slopes to Machame Gate (1800m) and check-in to the camp.
Start the hike through the forest, watching birds and trying to spot some monkeys on your way to Machame Camp.
Overnight in a tent.

Day 3: Machame to Shira Camp (3840m)
- After breakfast, hike on a steep ridge through the giant heather zone and then up to moorland through other high altitude vegetation.
- Picnic lunch served on the way.
- Reach Shira Camp.
Overnight in tents.

Day 4: Shira to Barranco Camp (3990m)
After breakfast, hike towards Lava Tower (4600m) where you can have lunch before trekking down to Barranco Camp (3990m) for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Barranco to Barafu Camp (4600m)
After breakfast, you proceed further over a steep rocky Barranco wall to reach the Karanga valley.
Then, ascend to Karanga camp for lunch (3995m).
After lunch, hike up the ridge that leads you to Barafu - the base camp, for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Barafu to Uhuru Peak (5895m) to Mweka Camp (3100m)
Wake up before or after midnight, put on warm clothes (it will be between 0 to -15 degrees Celsius), have a cup of tea and cookies and begin your climb via Stella point (4720m).
Join other trekkers from the Marangu Route at the crater rim and continue to the highest point on Kili - the Uhuru peak (5895m).
After a successful ascent to the top, descend back via Barafu camp for breakfast.
Proceed to Mweka Camp (3100m) for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Moshi
After breakfast, descend leisurely to Mweka Gate (3hrs).
Board your transfer vehicle back to Moshi for a hot shower and a relaxed night in a hotel.

Day 8: Departure
Depart from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Nairobi or proceed to your next destination.
