To reach the observation spot on time, it is advisable to leave from Derawan Island around 05.30 am, driving directly to the designated spot in Talisayan.

Next, continue to Harbour Talisayan in the mainland of Borneo.
Go sightseeing around the village, enjoy the beaches, and explore the area.
Talisayan is one of the fishing villages in the region, where fishers catch and produce both fresh and dried fish. One can also find lots of birds wallets nests.
Enjoy a simple breakfast in Talisayan before continuing overland to Labuan Cermin Lake.
Labuan Cermin is named so because of its crystal clear waters that allow one to see the lake's bottom. Cermin is the local word for Mirror.
The lake has a layer of salt water that makes sunlight bounce off while freshwater flows underneath. These two types of water create a separation layer that results in clear views of the lake's bottom. Quite often, people call this lake Labuan Mirror or 'Lake Two Flavors’.
Labuan Cermin is perfect for activities like free diving with a mask, snorkelling, or simply relaxing while enjoying the tranquillity of the surrounding area.
Travellers can later hike a bit inside the jungle to arrive at Biduk Biduk.
After sightseeing, have lunch in Biduk Biduk, with the beautiful panoramic surrounding.
Biduk Biduk is one of the most beautifully endowed sub-districts in the southern part of the Berau district, with lots to offer. One such is that almost the whole left side of the road is dotted with coconut trees. There are mangrove trees on the beach, old dutch wells in Suleman bay/ Teluk Suleman, and several other attractions.
Later, continue the journey towards the last part of this island paradise.
After village sightseeing, cross by canoe or tuk-tuk (wooden boat) to Kaniungan Island. (30 minutes)
