Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrive at Bwindi Mountains

   • Meet your guide and start early from Kampala, be prepared for a long day in the car.

   • Along the way, Make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Masaka or Mbarara, depending on the time.

   • Continue to Bwindi mountain Gorillas through the neck of the impenetrable forest. (If we reach early, we can do a walk and mix with the locals).

2. Day 2: Gorilla trekking at Bwindi impenetrable forest

   • Have an early breakfast before setting off for your gorilla trekking adventure. 

   • Explore the other biodiversity of the Impenetrable Forest, which includes several birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, sitatungas and dikers. 

   • After the trek, your guide picks you and depending on the time you are back from trekking, get started on the trip back to Kampala, cutting the time of the journey for tomorrow. The aim is to spend the night at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with the chance of spotting elephants from the lodge. (Accommodation this night is planned at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park but depends on time back from trekking if late back overnight, will be in Kabale.).

3. Day 3: Return back to Kampala

   • After breakfast, you set off towards Kampala. 

   • Have lunch along the way. Get back to Kampala in the late afternoon/evening after meeting the Gorillas of Uganda.
