First stopover at Mpambire, a local community known for making traditional drums and crafts. Admire and buy some souvenirs.
Later, continue to the Equator crossing, with a stopover for photography as well as having some snacks.
Continue towards Mbarara for lunch. From here, take a long drive up to the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Wake up very early in the morning for a cup of tea/coffee, and then transfer to the park headquarters before 8:00 am to receive a short briefing about the do's and don’ts while spotting gorillas.
Follow the ranger guide to the rainforest or bamboo-covered slopes to begin the activity, possibly the most interesting activity done on earth.
Walking can sometimes be tough and long, with some difficulties along the way.
Since the tracking is done in the forest, it is advisable to wear strong shoes or gumboots, long-sleeved shirts or blouses, insect repellents, bottled water, and sometimes packed lunch.
Meeting gorillas is unpredictable; it can go to half or full day in the jungle searching for them, so a reasonable degree of fitness is recommended. However, when visitors do catch a glance of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten and utilized in the time allowed to stay with these giants while observing their behaviours, as well as taking as many photos as possible. (Flash cameras are not allowed.)
One can also expect to see other primates like chimpanzees and black and white colobus monkeys.
After this wonderful moment, go back to the lodge to relax or go for a community walk to meet the local people around the park (batwa), who entertain guests through their cultural music and dance. They will also take visitors through their history, hunting skills, farming skills, and other activities.
Retire back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp.
Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Departure
