Description
Visit Simien Mountains National Park, a world heritage site of Ethiopia, and includes Ras Dashan - the highest point in Ethiopia (4533m). It is also home to a large variety of wildlife, including Gelada Monkey, Walia Ibex, and over 180 species of birds. Hike along the cliff edge towards the campsite of Sankaber. Stop for a picnic lunch amidst the beautiful scenery. Experience spending a night in a tent at Sankaber. Trek to witness the view of the Jinbar Waterfall and spot some of the local birdlife.
Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Simien Mountains National Park, Trek to Sankaber
Depart from Gondar at 8:00 am and arrive at Simien Mountains National Park around 11:00 am.
Stretch and scan the scenery from the comfort of a private vehicle.
Once in the park, the car will drop visitors at a point located two hours from the first campsite of Sankaber.
For those two hours (150km), hike along the cliff edge towards the campsite of Sankaber.
Along the route, stop for a picnic lunch.
At night, camp in tents at Sankaber.
Meals included: Lunch & dinner.

Day 2 - Trek to Jinbar Waterfall, Drive to Gondar
After breakfast, hike for around 4 hours. The main highlight of the trek will be the view of the Jinbar Waterfall. This point is also a great opportunity to spot some of the local bird life.
After the hike, drive to Gondar, arriving back in the city between 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
