Explore the Ramasseum temple complex, built by Pharaoh Ramses II who ruled Egypt for 67 years during the 19th dynasty.
Travel to the Valley of The Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture used as the burial place of the kings of Thebes. There are many kings buried in this valley. The most famous tombs are of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and Amenhotep II.
- Visit Medinat Habu to discover the huge mortuary temple of Ramses III.
- Explore the beautiful temple and learn how the entire population of Thebes took refuge within the temple's massive enclosure walls during the attack on Egypt under the 20th Dynasty rule.
- See the records of Ramses III's many military campaigns on the Temple's pylons and walls, which are well-preserved carvings, also depicting religious festivals in the second court.
