Day by day
Spend a day touring the town of Fort Dauphin, including a walk around a fisherman's village and the local market, and a visit to the Anosy Museum.
End your day with a swim at Libanona Beach.
Leave the city to visit Nahampoana Reserve. Here, you will see what Madagascar is famous for: lemurs, other wildlife, and native plants from the area. Along the way, see terraced rice fields and traditional Antanosy homes with your Madagascar tour guide.
After your day at the reserve, head down to Ankoba Beach, where you can relax and swim.
Spend the next few days exploring the fishing village of Evatraha and Lokaro Beach. These are known as some of the most beautiful beaches in the southeast of Madagascar.
Travel by boat or car, as you prefer, and settle into the Pirate Hotel right next to the Lokaro River and just a few steps from the beach.
Visit Lokaro Island, relax around the hotel, and enjoy the view. Eat grilled fish or lobster.
Visit Evatraha, a fishing village, and walk along the coast.
Enjoy fantastic views of the Indian Ocean and swim at Mahanoro, a quiet beach.
Return to Fort Dauphin and spend the afternoon in town or at the beach.
Set out on a day trip to Manantantely to hike up the Anosy hills and see more of the rainforest.
Relish a picnic lunch right next to a natural pool, where you can also swim.
