Itinerary

1. Dayy 1: Marrakech to Skoura

   • Get picked up from the hotel or airport in Marrakech, followed by a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains that includes crossing the zig-zag Tichka pass at 2260 metres.

   • Along the way, see the picturesque Berber kasbah built by Pusha of Marrakech, and visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

   • After lunch, drive to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, since its studios have filmed many international movies, such as 'The Gladiator'.

   • See Taourite Kasbah, situated in the centre of Ouarzazate city.

   • Arrive at the hotel in the palm grove oasis town of Skoura.

2. Day 2: Skoura to Merzouga Sand Dunes

   • After breakfast, hit the road and drive through the beautiful scenery to see some ancient Berber Kasbahs while passing through the Rose Valley towns of El kalaa Mgouna and Boumalne Dade.

   • Visit the stunning Todra Gorges in Tinghir province.

   • Have lunch in the quaint town of Tinjdade before heading towards the desert.

   • Along the way, pass the desert perimeter towns of Touroug, Jourf, Erfoud, and the last town of Rissani.

   • Upon arrival at Merzouga, go for a camel ride and then spend the night in Berber tents in the middle of the desert.

   • Watch the sunset over the dunes for an amazing stargazing experience.

3. Day3 : Merzouga to Marrakech

   • Wake up early to see the sunrise and get some incredible pictures.

   • After sunrise, ride camels back to the hotel to take a shower and have breakfast.

   • Head out of the Sahara via Risani, Alnif, Ouarzazate, and the same way through the High Atlas Mountains.

   • Take photo breaks, and stop for lunch.

   • Arrive at Marrakech.
