Description
Spend a day exploring Galilee's religious highlights, a fertile, mountainous region in northern Israel, known for the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus is said to have walked on water. Discover places of significant values in the Christian world, starting from Yardenit, where Jesus was baptised and Capernaum, the centre of his teachings, to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus is believed to have delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Visit the spectacular city of Caesarea constructed under Herod and named after the Roman Emperor, Caesar.

Galilee Tour
Visit the beautiful excavated Roman Theater in Caesarea.
Discover some of the most recent excavations, including the newly uncovered hippodrome, a stadium used for the chariot races.
Explore an ancient aqueduct once used for conveying the city's water almost 1000 years ago.
Drive to Yardenit, a place where John baptized Jesus.
Continue to Capernaum, home of Peter and center of Jesus’ preaching.
Travel to the stone benches of Capernaum’s ancient synagogue, and discover how Jesus taught and healed a man possessed by an evil spirit and raised from the dead, the daughter of this synagogue’s leader.
Discover the ruins here, from homes with ordinary tools of daily life to intricately decorated stone carvings.
Visit Peter’s house, where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law.
Travel to a large church built in the mid-fourth century, whose mosaic floor was built with Peter’s house as its centrepiece.
Proceed to Tabkha, Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fishes.
Drive to Mount of Beatitudes and visit the Catholic chapel built in 1939 by the Franciscan Sisters with the support of the Italian ruler Mussolini.
See the symbols on the pavement in front of the church representing Justice, Prudence, Fortitude, Charity, Faith and Temperance.
Move inside the church and see the cloak that still hangs from Pope Paul VI's visit in 1964.
