Day 1: Arrival at Matera
- Arrive at Bari airport and private transfer to Matera, the town of Sassi. Here, houses are mostly carved into the sandstone.
- Stay at a charming cave hotel and enjoy dinner in a restaurant in grotto style.

Day 2: Explore Venosa
- Visit the Roman ruins of the Archaeological Park and the marvelous Church of Trinity, Pantheon of Norman Knights.
- Move to a wine cellar to taste the delicious Aglianico wine for lunch.
- Return to Matera in the late afternoon.

- Stop at the abandoned village of Craco, also known as “the ghost town”. It was abandoned for a landslide.
- See the Crypt of Original Sin, the oldest rock church of the area, dating back to the VIII century.
