Description

Itinerary

Day 1: Negombo to Pinnawala to Kandy
Early morning at 6:30, leave for Kandy.
On the route, stop at a Pineapple garden.
Proceed to the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. Around 9:15 starts the feeding time, and the baby elephants get their milk. Around 10:00, the elephants going for a bath in the river. Proceed to the elephant riding place, where you can ride on an elephant through the jungle.
After this visit, proceed to Kandy.
Visit a spice and herbal garden.
After that visit, proceed to the Botanical Garden.
Visit the Kandy Temple, Dalada Maligawa Temple of the Tooth.
Go to the Gem Museum, and see a Batic factory and Silk factory.
Go to the hotel for a shower and refreshment.
Around 5:30, get ready for the Kandy culture dance performance. This performance will take around one and a half hours.
Back to the hotel and have dinner.

Day 2: Kandy to Sigiriya to Dambulla
After breakfast, leave for Sigiriya.
On the way, stop at the Hindu Temple in Matala.
Drive to Sigiriya. Sigiriya (Lion's rock) is an ancient rock fortress and palace ruin. Climb the rock here.
After returning from the top of the rock, proceed to Dambulla.
See Sri Lanka’s biggest vegetable market in Dambulla, and go sightseeing in the city.
Proceed to the Dambulla Cave Temple.
After this visit, return to the hotel.
