Description
Get lost in a mysterious temple and enjoy a ride on a traditional boat. Off the usual tourist track, Beng Mealea, also known as the Jungle Temple, provides a fantastic opportunity to experience an Angkor temple as it would have been overtaken by jungle and visited only by birds for hundreds of years. While it does not attract as many tourists as other floating villages, the Kompong Khleang has arguably become the go-to destination for travellers looking for a more raw and authentic experience.

Special Beng Mealea Tour
Explore the Beng Mealea temple. It was built as a Hindu temple, but some carvings depict Buddhist motifs. Its primary material is sandstone, and it is largely unrestored, with trees and thick brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards and many of its stones lying in great heaps. The history of the temple is unknown. It can be dated only by its architectural style, identical to Angkor Wat, so scholars assumed it was built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century.
Visit the floating village called Kompong Khleang. It is the biggest floating community in Siem Reap. Enjoy a traditional boat trip to see unusual life on the water, stilt houses, fishing, and farms.
