Itinerary

Day 1: City Tour and Master Class
Visit the following places on your city tour:
Matenadaran-a depository of ancient books and manuscripts.
Cascade and Opera House.
Memorial of Armenian Genocide; Armenia's official memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Gum Market of dried and fresh fruits and vegetables.
Also, attend master class of a famous Armenian cook at Ararat Hall.

Day 2: Visit Haghpat
Visit the following:
Sanahin and Haghpat.
Akhtala; a UNESCO World heritage monastery.
Cook Armenian Dolma (a family of stuffed vegetable dishes) in the village of Akner. There are 2 kinds of Dolma, Summer dolma - forcemeat inside cabbage leaves, egg-plants, tomatos and peppers and Winter dolma - forcemeat inside vine leaves.

Day 3: Visit Garni
Visit:
Garni pagan temple; the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia.
Gegard Spear monastery; a medieval monastery.
Try to make it to the open air market in the village of Norgyugh where you can enjoy Khorovats, a barbeque of pork or lamb or chicken.

Day 4: Visit Hayravank
Visit:
Sevan Lake; a Pearl of Armenia.
Hayravank monastery and Noratus Cross-stones cemetery.
Selim Pass and Selim Caravansaray; points north to Vayots Dzor and south towards the mountainous lands in Iran.
Enjoy a delicious Armenian dish Karshym, a brand new addition in the cuisine.
