Description
Challenge your biking skills by going on a bike tour in the hills around Tirana, Albania's capital. Visit the Lapidari, part of Sauk village (This one was built to commemorate 18 October 1944, “The Day of the Artillery of the People’s Army”, when a Partisan Artillery unit lobbed a well-placed shot from up here to hit the Nazi collaborator government building, today the Brigade Palace, far below in Tirana, breaking up an important conference), Picalla village, during the bicycle tour. Enjoy the most picturesque places above the capital, Tirana, Erzeni River and eat local cuisines (Picalla).

Bike tour and sightseeing
Begin at Biçikleta me qera (see on map) at the Artificial Lake of Tirana, where you rent a mountain bike (200 lek or 2 euros per hour) and start our full tour (10.00 a.m. local time +2).
From the village of Sauk is the harder desnivel of our trip. Resting some minutes till our second pit stop, Bar "Të pamja" / Lapidari monument, and seeing the old ruins of a former Anti-Aircraft base.
Going down to Picalla, a little village close to Tirana.
Take a lunch break at EcoRestaurant.
Ride and go for a swim in the Erzen River (depending on temperatures and season) or Zipline Albania (close to Petrela village).
Return to Tirana by around 16.00 p.m.
