Embark on this excursion and witness the Messines ridge, which saw the New Zealand Corps launch an attack after the explosion of 19 mines. Visit Passendale, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Gravenstafel and many other places where the ANZAC Corps were involved.

Historical Tour of Belgium
Start the tour around 09:00 am from the hotel.
Visit the New Zealand Memorial on the slopes of Messines, which is Belgium's smallest town.
Go to the visitor centre on the square where the statue of the New Zealand Soldier stands. It was unveiled on ANZAC Day in 2015.
Visit the Church and its crypt. Stand where Samuel Frickelton won his Victoria Cross for taking 2 machine gun positions.
Have lunch and go to "Nine Elms" Cemetery near Poperinge to visit David Gallaher's grave, one of the "All Blacks."
Proceed to Zonnebeke and Passendale to visit the Tyne Cot Military Cemetery and Memorial. This is CWGC's largest cemetery in Europe.
Go to Gravenstafel, where David Gallaher was killed during the Battle of Passendale, also known as the 3rd battle of Ypres.
Drive towards Ypres and get some free time before attending the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate.
Return to the hotel.
