Immerse yourself into Mayan traditions and ceremonies with the Temazcal Excursion (Mayan Ritual Sauna). It is a spiritual experience, where you will be taken to the heart of the jungle to participate in a cleansing ceremony with a native Shaman, followed by a Temazcal ceremony. It takes place in a stone shaped igloo which represents the womb of mother earth and works with the four elements: earth, water, air and fire. In the darkness of the igloo, heat is given off by volcanic rocks and as your body gets hotter, this process will purify your mind, body and spirit.

Begin the tour with the Temazcal Excursion, a cultural and spiritual ceremony experience in a peaceful atmosphere, teaching you the traditions, beliefs and ways of life of an actual Mayan family.
Learn about the Mayan tradition, the Temazcal provides deep detoxification that increases the temperature in human organs, helping to rebalance the minerals in your body, improving the immune system, eliminating toxins and helping to prevent disease.
After the Temazcal ceremony, you will cool off and relax for some time.
Swim in the crystal water of the cenote and complete your evening with a traditional Mayan dinner.
