Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m / 4,600 ft)
Welcome to Nepal! Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our friendly representative will greet you just outside the terminal with a placard bearing your full name. From there, you'll be transferred to your pre-booked hotel in the city. Take this time to relax and settle in after your flight.
In the afternoon, we’ll host a pre-trip briefing at our office, where you’ll meet your trekking guide or tour leader. This session is important for final preparations, so feel free to ask any questions about the trek. Please bring the following items to the meeting:
- Your passport
- 2 passport-sized photos
- A copy of your travel insurance policy (if not sent to us via email)
You'll also be asked to sign a legally binding trip agreement and a non-liability disclaimer form.
After the briefing, if time allows, you can explore one of Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks nearby. In the evening, head to Thamel, the lively tourist district known for its diverse restaurants and local shops. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your first Nepali dinner or try international cuisine before your adventure begins.

After breakfast, your guided cultural sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley begins. A professional tour guide and private vehicle will accompany you throughout the day, ensuring a comfortable and informative experience as you explore several of Nepal’s most revered UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
You’ll visit the following major cultural and spiritual landmarks:
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)
Perched atop a hill overlooking the city, Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, is one of Nepal’s oldest and most sacred Buddhist sites. The complex features a large whitewashed stupa, ancient shrines and temples, a Tibetan monastery, a museum, and a library. The highlight is the panoramic 360-degree view of Kathmandu Valley, making this a perfect place to begin your day of exploration.
Pashupatinath Temple
Located along the banks of the holy Bagmati River, Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Patan Durbar Square – The City of Fine Arts
Your first stop is Patan Durbar Square, the heart of the ancient city of Lalitpur (Patan). Known as the “City of Fine Arts,” Patan showcases a spectacular ensemble of Newari architecture, with an intricate concentration of temples, palaces, and courtyards. Most of the stunning structures date back to the Malla period (14th–18th centuries). Upon arrival in Pokhara, you'll enjoy a peaceful boating experience on Phewa Lake, surrounded by reflections of the mountains. Sunrise from Sarangkot (1,592 m)
Begin your day with an early morning drive (approx. 45 minutes) to Sarangkot, a world-renowned viewpoint overlooking Pokhara. From here, enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas, revealing the full glory of peaks such as Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Himchuli, and Lamjung Himal.
