On this stunning virtual walk, I will take you to Moulin Huet, a bay located in the South East of Guernsey, where Renoir stayed in the Summer of 1883 and Victor Hugo frequently visited. You will see Renoir's actual path when he walked each day from St Peter Port to Moulin Huet Bay and where Victor Hugo travelled by a small horse and carriage called a Gig. Renoir adored Moulin Huet Bay and was fascinated by how light changes from morning to evening. He is well-known, of course, for the textures and colours of his work, painted in oils upon canvas. He created more than 16 masterpieces during the 5½ weeks he stayed in Guernsey.  
We also visit the cottage Renoir painted in his famous masterpiece and where Hugo picnicked, now privately owned by my family. You will be shown inside the grounds and a close-up of this very famous cottage, telling some humorous accounts of what his party got up to.
