Highlights
- Live-streamed walk through the neighbourhood of "the Village" showing you its popular spots
- Interesting anecdotes about who performed at the comedy clubs, bars, and nightclubs, and each landmark's claim to fame
Description
This live-streamed tour will start at 8th Avenue and 14th street and head to the Greenwich Village, a quiet, and older neighborhood in New York.
We will visit interesting places such as the Writer's Bar and some amazing Jazz clubs and Comedy clubs. Next, we will head to the Stonewall Inn in the Sheridan Square area, known as the most famous Gay bar in the world; it's where the first protest for Gay rights in the United States began. Close by is a football bar and across the avenue, a couple of piano bars.
We will also see the AIDS Memorial, and Bleecker Street, famous for its speciality food shops and nightclubs. One of them has been open for 50+ years and has supported the careers of many musicians including Lady Gaga. We walk to Waverly Place (with no wizards) and see 200-year-old houses. This hour-long tour ends at Washington Square arch, where movies as recent as August Rush and Barefoot In The Park have been shot.
