Baalbek, the "City of the Sun" of the ancient world, is home to Lebanon's most impressive ancient site. The city has gained fame from ancient times to today as a legendary and even mystical place.
This live-streamed online experience will take you to the three Roman Temples that have witnessed periods of the highest prosperity and decline and have undergone many changes without losing their lustre. We will start at the Jupiter Temple, which is the largest of the three, to admire its 20-metre-high columns. The Bacchus temple is amongst the best-preserved, as you will see from its well-decorated gate sculpted with Bacchic figures. We will end our tour at the graceful Venus Temple, a class apart in its harmonious form and original layout. Throughout the tour, you will get to learn about the secrets, history, and power that touched and were associated with these sites.

I have worked in Turkey as a tour guide as well as taken part in the conference dedicated to Baalbek in Aix-en-Provence (France) in 2018.
