Description
In this Online Experience, we will be exploring one of the 24 villages in the valley well-known Bohinj Valley of Slovenia: Ribcev Laz is probably one of the most recognised and famous villages in the area, located next to the crystal clear and picturesque lake Bohinj. During the tour, we will learn interesting facts about the area and its history and the things that make Bohinj so special.
We will visit the Monument of the Four Brave Men, who were the first to climb the highest mountain in Slovenia - Mount Triglav. A short walk will take us to the Church of St. John the Baptist, where we will learn why this Church is so special for all the Bohinj locals and why you must visit it when being in Bohinj valley. After stopping by the Church, we will walk along the Bohinj lake, the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, and learn more about this glacial lake and its role throughout history. You will also learn new things about the Triglav National Park, which is one of the oldest natural parks in Europe.
Our final stop will be by the Goldenhorn monument, where you will hear the legend about this amazing animal and the secrets of the Julian Alps area. Since the valley is also my home, I will be happy to share some local stories and legends with you and answer any questions you might have.

Grega Silc
After graduating from the Faculty of Tourism in Portoroz, Grega, I was employed as a marketing manager in Bohinj and later as instructor and programme manager at Vocational College for Catering and Tourism in Bled, where I taught students the art of guiding and guest entertainment. I love the concept of being active, exploring new places, and enjoying a good meal at the end of the day. I equally love the pleasure of showing new people around places that are familiar to me, and look forward to hosting you on one of my tours.
